Concert Hall Dortmund

The Dortmund Concert Hall is one of Germany's leading venues for classical music. With its modern architecture, outstanding acoustics, and international program, it is a popular destination for culture enthusiasts and music lovers.

Architecture and acoustics at the highest level

The Dortmund Concert Hall opened in 2002 and can accommodate around 1,550 visitors. The clear, modern steel and glass architecture characterizes the appearance of the building and creates a light-flooded, open atmosphere.

The acoustics are particularly noteworthy: the hall is conceptually based on the Vienna Musikverein and achieves a reverberation time of around two seconds – a benchmark that is internationally renowned. Thanks to this quality, the Dortmund Concert Hall is a sought-after venue for renowned artists such as Renaud Capuçon and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who perform here regularly.
